Salary negotiations can be tricky. You don't want to price yourself out of a job offer. I've seen that happen when candidates ask for a salary that is thousands of dollars more than the company has budgeted for the position.

On the flip side, it's important to get paid what you are worth and you don't want to be taken advantage of. In addition, if you are going to accept a job offer, you need to earn a paycheck that is going to be enough to pay the bills.

What's the best way to negotiate salary? These salary negotiation tactics will help you negotiate a fair compensation package.
