I know someone, who will remain nameless for obvious reasons, who sent a LinkedIn message to every single one of his contacts. He told them he hated his job and he was probably going to get fired.
Maybe he was going to get fired anyway, but he sped up the process because the message ended up in his manager's In Box. She fired him sooner rather than later.
Even if you do hate your job, keep it to yourself and your family or close friends. Don't tell the world, because the wrong person is probably going to see what you posted. Search Twitter for I hate my job to get an idea of what I mean.
What you post online can get you fired, even if it's good company news or not related to your job. Posting confidential company information, not being careful about what you say to whom, tweeting that you have a job offer while you're still employed, and tweeting that you hate your job, are just a few examples of what can get you in trouble, or cost you your job or a job offer.
Many companies have social networking policies that restrict posting online and the enforce them. Simply using your work computer for any personal non-work related reason can be an issue if your employer has restrictions on computer use on the job. Companies also may have policies that prohibit social media job references, so doing a good deed and giving a colleague a LinkedIn reference could get you in trouble, too.
And if you do hate your job, here's what to do, so you don't lose your job before you start looking for a new one.

I’d never do it, but maybe the person ~wanted~ to get fired? Because, beyond that, it really doesn’t make a lot of sense to announce to the world that you hate your job. The best solution is to just take steps to find one that you do like.
This is interesting. Not only did this person lose their job, but they burnt all of their bridges. Because it went viral, he burnt even more bridges that have yet to be built! It is one thing to be fired from a position, it’s a whole other thing to be deemed a poor employee.
If the employee in question approached their boss and discussed his impending doom, things would have probably turned out much differently.
