unemploymentInformation on CT unemployment benefits is available on the Connecticut Unemployment web site. Unemployed workers in Connecticut can apply and file for unemployment benefits online or on the phone, as well as check the status of their unemployment claim and review their claim history.

Unemployed Connecticut workers can certify for weekly benefits online or on the telephone.  Benefits are paid by check. Checks are mailed each week.

If you're not sure about your unemployment eligibility, you can still file a claim. If your claim is turned down, there's a process available for you to appeal the denial of your claim.

Unemployment benefits vary from state to state. So, if you're not a Connecticut resident, your state unemployment office will have all the information you need on how to open an unemployment claim, and how to file for your weekly benefits in your location.
