Getting Job Search Results

Job searching certainly isn't easy.   The days where you could apply for a job, get called for an interview, and get a job offer in short order, are mostly gone.  Today, many candidates are lucky if they even get called for an interview.

Finding a new job takes more time and effort than it ever did in the past, but if you plug away at it, you can get the results you'd like.   I recently heard from someone who said my job search tips article was really helpful.

He especially appreciated my advice on following up:  "Your points - especially your follow-up suggestions - made me do things I thought might be corny or presumptuous at first, but it wasn't until the call-backs started coming in that I realized I was making an impression."

If you're running into job search roadblocks and there are certainly lots of them out there, try taking the extra time it takes to make the best impression you can.  You could end being the one batting 3-for-3 instead of 0-for-in-2 in the interview game.
