There was five unemployed people who have put in applications, an we have familys, bills, an we have heard nothing about it an it has been over a month.

I passed the drug screen and physical , and even the interview; however, there is a lot of Christopher Barnes’s out there apparently, and they are on my background check somehow. I’m not a criminal. I have worked for the oil spill clean-up for several different firms. This is a very transient job and you MUST be a resident of the county in which you work. The jobs are limited and are rotated through various firms by the GC. All Florida county driven. I have worked as many as 80 hours in a week and as few as 12. I currently am not working, but have been called to be avail next wed-sun. for 48 hours work. You have one chance to answer the phone and then they call the next person on the waiting list. Best bet is to go through the local unemployment office, as they control most of the jobs. or Gov. Crist also has a website. BTW, I have worked with many convicted felons.

If there’s a morbid silver lining to this fiasco, at least a few jobs were created (not that it makes up for those that were lost).
