The job market seems to be moving in the right direction.  Over 500,000 jobs have been added in the last couple of months and if you've been thinking about starting a job search, now's a good time to get going.

Health care opportunities are plentiful. Librarians are in high demand and retail is hiring, as well, just to name a few, according to a new job trends monthly report from SimplyHired.com

If you're open geographically, the least competitive job markets are Albuquerque/Sante Fe, Harrisburg, Oklahoma City, Providence and Kansas City.  Overall, even though the job market has a long way to go, it's definitely moving in the right direction.

By the way, when you use SimplyHired's Who Do I Know Feature  you will be able to connect directly from a SimplyHired.com job listing to your LinkedIn network to find out if you have a contact a that company.

SimplyHired also has a way for job seekers to see Facebook Friends at companies. To get started, simply click on Log On to Facebook when you visit SimplyHired.com
