SimplyHired Goes Social

It's always important to tap your connections when job searching and job search engine SimplyHired.com is going social and making it easy to connect.   Job seekers can now connect directly from a SimplyHired.com job listing to their LinkedIn network to find out if they have contacts a company.

This really helps simplify (which Simply Hired always does really well) what had been a two step process.  Instead of searching for jobs, then going to LinkedIn to see who you know at the organization, you can save a few clicks and go right to LinkedIn from Simply Hired.   Clicking on the "Who Do I Know" button will give you an in-line view of your connections without having to leave Simply Hired.

In addition, Simply Hired has announced other enhancements to help expedite your job search including:

  • A new "Share" feature which enables job seekers to share job listings on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, or via email.
  • An extensive overhaul of the site's interface and filtering systems, making it easier than ever for job seekers to connect with the most relevant jobs.

Gautam Godhwani, co-founder and CEO,  Simply Hired, says "With hundreds of applicants vying for any one role, a personal or professional connection within an organization can give a job seeker the crucial advantage. Simply Hired's new features show job seekers that there is hope; that their network of connections is more powerful than they believe."  And, it really is - you never know who you might know who can help you and this new feature will help make it easier to find out.

That’s interesting, must be very similar to the Linkedin Jobs Insider which shows who you know in a company already. It connects with Monster, Simplyhired, Dice and a couple of more job boards. I wrote about it back in December:
