I'm not sure quite where the years have gone, but Indeed.com is celebrating their 5th anniversary. It's hard to believe that it's been just about five years since I first talked to Paul Forster, co-founder and CEO of Indeed about job search engines and how they were going to change the nature of job searching and how job seekers looked for jobs in a big way.
Indeed has come a long way during those five years - all the way to the top of the job charts. Indeed is the #1 employment website in the US by job search unique visitors and page views (comScore Media Metrix, Oct 2009). There are Indeed websites in 19 countries and 10 languages, and Indeed gets 24 million unique visitors and one billion job searches per month worldwide.
I spoke to Paul recently and he credits Indeed's success to their focus on job seekers, saying "We always put the interests of the job seeker first by providing the best and most relevant job listings and filtering the results to eliminate spam and bad jobs."
