Ski Resort Job Fairs

For those who spend the winter working on the ski slopes, now is the time to be job searching.

For those who live near a ski resort, are out of work, and haven't thought about a job at a ski area, there are plenty of jobs available where you don't have to know how to ski or snowboard. There are inside jobs, too, so you don't have to get cold either. It's an opportunity to earn a paycheck from now until spring - or even year-round.

Ski resorts are hiring now, so don't wait until the last minute to get started on your job search. To make it easy to apply - and get hired, ski resorts around the country are holding job fairs to get staff lined up. You'll have an opportunity to find out about open positions, fill out an application, and meet with resort staff.

For example, in Utah, Deer Valley Ski Resort, invites job seekers to attend the annual Winter Job Expo on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, from 3 pm 6 pm, in Snow Park Lodge.   You'll find details on jobs available in the employment section of Deer Valley's website.

The best way to find out about upcoming job fairs is to check directly with the ski resorts, where you might like to work. Most have employment information on their web sites. Online applications are an option, as well, at many resorts.
