Boost Your Job Search With Twitter

Thursday June 18, 2009
Twitter is one more tool you should add to your job search arsenal, if you're not already tweeting. More than a few times yesterday, one of the people I follow on Twitter mentioned they were hiring, and posted a link to the job listing, so a follower could apply or refer someone to the opportunity.

The job sites I follow post new job openings all the time. Getting a lead via Twitter is a good way to get a jump start on the competition.

Here's more on how Twitter can help job seekers and how you can use Twitter to boost your job search.

When you follow me and the About.com Job Searching site on Twitter, you'll get lots of career tips and job leads, as well (I retweet as many as I can).

If you need help getting started, Linda Roeder, About.com's Guide to Personal Web Pages, has information on how Twitter works.
