Path 101 - Community Powered Career Discovery
Sometimes, that's by choice. You hate your job and you want to do something, anything, else. In other cases, your job is gone, your industry is in disarray, and there are no jobs to apply for. What to do next?
Path 101 is a new web site designed to help you plan on what to do next. You can take a personality test and see what people with the same background are doing. Analyze your resume by uploading it from your computer (Word, PDF, or text file) or importing your LinkedIn Profile and compare your background with millions of resumes gathered from the web. Then, ask career questions and get advice from real people on the career paths that are of interest to you – or review questions that have already been asked.
How does it work? Path 101 crawls the web for the 8+ million resumes that are online, just like the job search engines find job postings that are on the web. Path 101 then downloads the data, crunches it, and creates tools to help people figure out their careers. Once you have some options, it will make your job search run more smootlhy, because you'll be able to target your search on positions that are good match for your new career goals.
