So far we have recommendations for VisualCV, RealMatch, Optimal Resume, OneDayOneJob, MyFirstPaycheck, Idealist.org, and Indeed.com. A site doesn't have to be new to be included. Share your favorite site even if it has been around for a while, as well as new sites for job seekers and career builders, and keep those suggestions coming!
You can suggest your favorite job site, comment (below), or send me an email letting me know what you think are the best jobs sites for this year and why the site works for you.

12/22/08 Update: Best Job Sites of 2008

I believe LinkedIn is the best site for making connections and for job searching. It’s especially helpful to be able to use my connections for references for jobs when I apply and to be able to see who I know who works at the company.
Basic, but I’d suggest Craigslist.com is definitely one that has to go on the list.
I’m the career advice expert for a new site called GreatPlaceJobs. (www.greatplacejobs.com). All the jobs on the site are from employers at award-winning organizations. We’re also growing a linkedin network of members, recruiters and employees at “great” organizations with plans for special podcasts and informational seminars offering “inside information.”
I sold my catering company after running across Coolworks.com and I have never looked back. It is a job site for seasonal work. Coolworks has helped me work in many beautiful places across the country such as Yellowstone National Park, Denali National Park, and at many resorts throughout the USA. It has even has even listed jobs overseas (Bavaria). Because of Coolworks.com I get 2-6 months off every year to do as I wish and I work with adventurous people who are excited about what they do. Coolworks is the best web site in my opinion because of all of the positive things that I now have, including a great amount of personal freedom.
