VocationVacationsPerhaps you have lost your job (especially if you have a severance package to spend) or you're tired of the rat race, or maybe you're thinking about doing something different with the rest of your life. If it's any of the above, you might want to consider spending a few days on a VocationVacation.

A VocationVacation is a way to try a new career on a short-term basis. Options range from trying out being a vineyard owner, a brew master or a baker, to acting, running a B&B, or a variety of other options - even working on the Pro Wresting circuit. Check the Currently Available list for all the options. If there is a dream job you've always wanted to try, this is a good way to give it a shot without having to commit.

You can book your VocationVacation just like you do any other vacation. There's an online form you can complete or you can call to request your dream job.

Brian Kurth, President and Founder of VocationVacations, told me that, "We're seeing more and more people taking a VocationVacation out of pure career exploration vs. "just for fun" and we're seeing a 25% increase in inquiries coming from people who have been laid off or are facing a possible lay-off."

We spend a big chunk of our life working, so it certainly makes sense, if you can afford it, to spend a bit on a vacation where you could can idea of what it's really like working at your dream job.
