Salary Calculators

Friday October 3, 2008
Are you deciding on a job offer or curious about how much your present position is worth? If you're wondering whether the compensation is right for a job you've been offered or curious as to what you could be making at a new job, there are salary calculators that will help you figure it out.

You can use PayScale's Salary Calculator to find out what the job you are interested in is worth or to compare your job with similar positions. PayScale also has a Cost of Living Calculator which will help you determine how much your current salary is worth in a new city and to compare the cost of living between two different cities. There are also salary calculators available that will calculate the total compensation package, including benefits, and others that will show you actually salary for jobs that are currently available.

When you are seeking employment, or even when you're not job searching, it's a good idea to have a sense of how much you're worth and what the market rate is for someone with your skills and experience. It's worth taking a little time every now and then to see where you're at. You might be surprised!
