VisualCV Winners Land Jobs

Friday June 27, 2008
VisualCV VisualCVs Community Contest winners were announced this week. Some of the categories in the contest were directly related to job searching and the winners not only received a prize, but also had concrete results - job offers.

Take a look at them to see if you can get some ideas for creating or enhancing your VisualCV. Sean Stroub won Best Overall VisualCV - and landed a new job. His VisualCV include work samples in the form of images, budget documents, a sales report, and a video.

Carol Anderson is the winner of the Best Story Related to Using a VisualCV in the Job Hunt. Carol's VisualCV was so good that it helped her get a job offer over the phone in the first interview (which she accepted).

Robert Peake won Best Job Seeking VisualCV. His VisualCV includes all the information you would include on a basic resume, plus a presentation video, writing samples, and additional work samples.

VisualCV is simple to use. Mine won't win any prizes, but I created it in just a few minutes. For anyone who is job searching, VisualCV is a great tool to help enhance your online presence and expedite your job search.
