VisualCVs Community Contest winners were announced this week. Some of the categories in the contest were directly related to job searching and the winners not only received a prize, but also had concrete results - job offers.
Take a look at them to see if you can get some ideas for creating or enhancing your VisualCV. Sean Stroub won Best Overall VisualCV - and landed a new job. His VisualCV include work samples in the form of images, budget documents, a sales report, and a video.
Carol Anderson is the winner of the Best Story Related to Using a VisualCV in the Job Hunt. Carol's VisualCV was so good that it helped her get a job offer over the phone in the first interview (which she accepted).
Robert Peake won Best Job Seeking VisualCV. His VisualCV includes all the information you would include on a basic resume, plus a presentation video, writing samples, and additional work samples.
VisualCV is simple to use. Mine won't win any prizes, but I created it in just a few minutes. For anyone who is job searching, VisualCV is a great tool to help enhance your online presence and expedite your job search.
