MyFirstPaycheck.com

Saturday April 19, 2008
MyFirstPaycheck.com was founded by 17-year-old Celeste Lavin and her 23-year-old brother. Celeste wanted to share what she learned looking for her first job with her friends. With her brother's help, MyFirstPaycheck has grown beyond those tips to become a job site that focuses on jobs and volunteer opportunities for teens in New York, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia (more locations are being added).

In addition to job postings, there are job search resources just for teens looking for their first job, including a resume builder that's quick and easy to use. Here's an example of a resume created with the resume builder so you can take a look.

Austin Lavin (the brother I mentioned) was featured on FoxBusiness.com this week, explaining how MyFirstPaycheck can help teens find summer jobs and internships. For more help finding a summer job, take a look at my Teen Job Search Guide it will step you through everything you need to know to get started on a job search.
