They could never consider actually opening a musical competition to any actual musicians. That might make it real. We don’t want any of that in our reality shows now, do we? Thanks again for making sure that no actual talent will ever be seen or heard on any of your ‘farce – tv ‘

Love,
A Life – Long Musician
you will probably never meet.

AMERICAN IDOL AUDITIONS ARE A JOKE .MY SISTER AUDITINED IN PHILIDELPHIA TODAY AND
SHE IS AN EXCELLENT SINGER AND THEY ONLY LISTENED TO HER FOR 10 SECONDS AND TOLD HER GO HOME ..THEY WERE ONLY LETTING IN PEOPLE DRESSED UP LIKE CATWOMEN OR WONDER WOMEN ETC..GUYS DRESSED LIKE GIRLS..SKINNY WHITE GIRLS AND HEAVY BLACK AND SPANISH GIRLS ..MY SISTER IS WHITE AND AVERAGE SIZE SOGO FIGURE YOU SHOULD HAVE TO DRESS UP IF YOU CAN SING
SO ITS ALL A BIG JOKE THEY JUST WANNA MAKE PEOPLE WHO CANT SING LOOK DUMB ON TV AND PEOPLE WHO CAN THEY DONT GIVE ACHANCE..ITS PROBABLY ALL A SET UP THE WINNERS PROBABLY ARE ALREADY HAND PICKED BY THE PRIDUCERS THAT TURN PEOPLE WHO CAN SING AWAY

honestly, im really interested to join this contest. im an asian, not an American citizen, but this AI gave me that desire to apply for a dual citizenship.. (sounds crazy ah). but when I’ve read your comments, i felt sad for those people who doesn’t make it to pass the initial audition though they have the talents..

but I’ve read a while ago that AI is not just about talents.. there are a lot of talented people that joined this contest, but still failed to make it even to the first round…

There is also America’s Got Talent.
They make these age limits to find younger singers. Anyone would know that if they looked into it

We went with our daughter to the tryouts this past weekend at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Mass. It really is a farce. You wait for hours upon hours and then you have 10 seconds. My daughter wasn’t chosen but I still think she is our American Idol. Check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxIBdsCGFrc

I AGREE WITH STEVE. MY DAUGHTER WAS THERE AND MADE THE TOP 30 IN OUR TOWN AND WAS TOLD BY A PRODUCER THAT THEY WERE NOT TAKING ANYONE FROM THE COUNTRY GENRE. PRETTY DISCRIMINATING IF YOU ASK ME. SOUNDS TO ME LIKE AMERICA’S VOTE PROBABLY DOESN’T MATTER. JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IT’S A SCAM. THEY ALREADY KNOW WHO’S GOING TO BE IN THE TOP AND WHAT KIND OF MUSIC THEY ARE LOOKING TO PROMOTE THIS SEASON. I THINK IT’S PRETTY BAD WHEN YOU LEAVE OUT AN ENTIRE CATEGORY OF MUSIC. LEFT OUT ALOT OF TALENT BECAUSE OF IT.

DO NOT……I REPEAT DO NOT AUDITION FOR AMERICAN IDOL. THIS ENTIRE SHOW IS A REALITY TV SHOW. IT IS A SET UP FROM THE WORD GO. THEY HAVE ALREADY HAND PICKED THE WINNERS BEFORE YOU EVEN AUDITION!!! I WITNESSED IT IN PERSON IN SAN FRANCISCO IN AUGUST 2010. IT WAS HELD AT THE AT&T PARK. AFTER WAITING HOURS UPON HOURS IN LINE, THEY FINALLY LET YOU IN TO TAKE YOUR SEATS IN THE STAND. AS YOU ARE WAITING, YOU SEE PEOPLE THAT ARE AUDITIONING COMING OUT OF THE “TUNNELS” UNDER THE SEATING!! AND THEY ARE BEING PICKED!! THE CAMERAS THERE WANT TO CAPTURE THE EXCITEMENT ONLY FOR PURPOSES OF THE SHOW ITSELF. MANY CAMERAS DID NOT EVEN HAVE FILM IN THEM. TALENT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER. THE WINNERS HAVE BEEN PICKED…BASED ON THE TYPE OF “LOOK” THEY WANT FOR THE PARTICULAR SEASON. I DID NOT AUDITION…MY PURPOSE THERE WAS TO TALK TO POTENTIAL SINGERS AND WHAT I SAW WITH MY OWN EYES WAS A TOTAL AND COMPLETE FARCE. THOSE WHO DID NOT MAKE THE FINAL CUT AND WERE CRYING HAD THE ADDITIONAL SLAP IN THE FACE OF THE PRODUCERS SAYING “CRY HARDER” FOR THE CAMERA. ITS ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL. AGAIN, DO NOT TRY OUT AND DO NO WASTE YOUR TIME!!! (FROM ONE WHO WITNESSES IT FIRSTHAND)

Im trying to find an address on auditions for 2012, this is crazy its almost impossible to find out information.
The site gives you exact date and city, but no address. How are we supposed to audition with just a city and date?
