Job Listings on Your Favorite Blog

Thursday February 8, 2007
I keep mentioning that you should expand your job search and look at all the sites where you might find job listings, because you never know where you will find a good opportunity that's a perfect fit for your background and qualifications.

To make that a little easier, SimplyHired, the job search engine, has a new product that enables job seekers to find job listings on sites, like their favorite blogs, that they are already visiting on a regular basis. Job-a-matic enables web publishers to sell their own job listings (relevant to their audience), as well as to list other SimplyHired positions.

Indeed, the other top job search engine, offers a similar service. Indeed's Jobroll displays a customized list of jobs that matches the search terms the web publisher selects.

This ties in with the increased focus, on the part of hiring managers and recruiters, on reaching passive job seekers, who may not necessarily be looking, but, could be interested in an opening that comes along that's too good to pass up.

It also fits with the notion that it's a always a good idea to recruit candidates that are interested in your type of business or industry. Who better to recruit than the people who are already visiting blogs or other web sites that focus on your niche?
