Online Applications for Hourly Jobs Double

By June 27, 2006

Unicru, the company that provides hiring management systems for more than 130 brands including 22 of the Top 100 U.S. retailers, reported that last quarter 2.5 million job candidates applied online with Unicru clients for an hourly position, more than twice the 897,000 applicants that applied in-person.

Traditionally, applications for hourly jobs were completed at the store, restaurant or business, either on paper or at a hiring kiosk. The Internet, once the realm of the professional white collar job market, where much of the recruiting process is handled online, is now expanding to include all types of job seekers - from students seeking summer jobs or internships and blue collar, part-time and hourly workers. Applying online is a quick and simple process, you will be able to search for jobs that interest you and submit your application or resume with a click of your mouse. It's an excellent way to speed up your job search.
