A Tough Hiring Process

The position of Executive Chef at the White House was available and it took more than a good interview to get the job. Leading candidates for the position, including a White House assistant chef, chefs from top Washington, D.C. restaurants, as well as one from Dallas, were busy this summer preparing tasting meals for President Bush and his family. The process made having an interview or two seem simple, but, the White House finally announced a winner. Assistant chef, Cristeta Comerford, a naturalized citizen from the Philippines, is the first woman and the first member of a minority group to be executive chef.

If you missed out on the White House job, Google is hiring not one, but, two executive chefs. Google will be holding a cook-off for the finalists when a team of Googlers will vote for their favorite dishes.
