Microsoft Hires Walmart Executive

Microsoft appointed Kevin Turner, formerly president and chief executive officer of SAM'S CLUB and executive vice president of Walmart Stores, as the new chief operating officer. He will be responsible for leading Microsoft’s sales, marketing and service divisions as well as fulfillment and IT operations. This is an interesting example of how you can use your experience to transition between employers and industries.
